Recently Eddie Wickward requested to help a group in Haiti. They turned him down, but he didn't give up. He prayed for an opportunity, and packed his bags that very day! Here's the news report from KXLY.
Here is an additional article on the Upper Columbia Conference website.
UCA recently finished its spring Student Week of Prayer. What a great blessing it was.
Access the recordings here on the UCA website for now. Soon each presentation will also be available in our "Academy Weeks of Prayer" podcast in the Media Library (one of the main menu options) here on the church website.
May God use the power of these messages to move in your life today.
Visit our website for all the current information. The latest exciting news is -- We are taking a team of 5 people to Namu in March!
This week we purchased our tickets. Here's how the trip is shaping up...
There are still a lot of things needing to fall into place for this entire project. Please continue to pray that God will lead. Also, please pray about helping us sponsor the school by becoming part of the Band of Faith! All the moneys donated will go toward operating the school. We need 300 people to pledge $5 a month! That's just one Taco Bell meal! Help us help others!
The UCA Church has voted on a mission project -- to adopt Ebeye SDA School on Namu in the Marshall Islands. The school is in terrible need of repairs, not limited to the collapse of the teacher's apartment at one end of the school building.
Many hands make light work. Please check out the Namu Project website created by Mel Wade to provide you with specific information about how funds will be used and the numerous ways our church and our students will be serving Namu school in the future.
You may feel you simply can't help right now; but as the Spirit moves, you may be able to do one or more of several options for helping with the Namu Project.
For more information contact Mel Wade at Upper Columbia Academy.
Check out the new Adventist YouTube channel. There's also an Adventist Mission Youtube channel. Videos, podcasts, blogs, discussion to inspire and uplift you spiritually.
Chris Duckett has written this heartfelt song -- "Follow the Lamb" -- chosen to be our theme song for this school year.
The file is in MP3 format. If it sounds choppy at first, hit the Pause button and let the file load before listening to it. (The load bar is at the bottom of the player, and you'll see it sliding rightward as the file loads.) Lyrics printed below with permission.
Follow the Lamb
Follow the Lamb
I heard a sound from heaven, mighty waters rushing
I heard some people playing in perfect harmony
I looked up and I saw Him standing on Mount Zion
He beckoned me to listen, and this is what I heard
CHORUS
Our mission's clear
Follow the Lamb
Let all who hear follow the Lamb
Our mission's clear
Follow the Lamb
Let all who hear follow the Lamb
Great and marvelous are your works
O Lord God Almighty
Just and true are your ways
O king of ages
You are holy (holy), worthy (worthy)
Glory and honor be to you forever (x2)
Chorus (x2)
Follow the Lamb (x8)
