  • Our Missionaries Arrive at Namu

Announced by Lorna Hartman on Aug 28, 2010

With great joy we can now announce that our two student missionaries have completed their mission training and traveled to Namu! They are: UCA graduate Saul Dominguez, currently attending Andrews University, and Fernando Chavez, a theology major also from Andrews.

The $10,000 necessary to cover their costs has been raised, including a tenth of next year's expenses too.

Final enrollment numbers are not yet available, but Pastor Tommy (who leads several churches in the area) estimates that Saul and Fernando will have 80-90 students total.

Because the school on Namu has been closed for well over a decade, there are no school supplies left. Please consider sending a care package of goodies and supplies to Saul and Fernando. Chocolate will melt (but will probably be appreciated anyway). The post office offers a one-price mailing box that costs $10.70 to mail no matter what the package weight is. Mail packages to:

    c/o Ebeye SDA School
    P.O. Box 5070
    Ebeye, MH 96970
